Privacy and cookie policy

EnergieTeller is built so you can use the site without sharing personal data. This page explains exactly what does and does not happen.

Calculators

All calculations run in your own browser. What you enter in a calculator is not sent to us and not stored, including in cookies or browser storage.

Cookies and browser storage

EnergieTeller itself sets no cookies and uses no local storage. We use no analytics or tracking services and load no third-party fonts or scripts.

Hosting

As with any website, the hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and the time of a request to deliver and secure the site. We do not use that data to track visitors.

Contact form

Through the contact form we process your email address, your message and anything else you fill in (name, subject, page). We only use this data to reply to your message and keep it no longer than needed for that. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions and error reports.

The form is sent via Web3Forms, an external service that forwards the submission as an email to our mailbox. Web3Forms states that it does not store submissions but only forwards them, and deletes server logs periodically. Web3Forms uses Amazon Web Services servers, so data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. The form sets no cookies.

Google ads

EnergieTeller may show ads through Google AdSense. As long as it does not, no ad scripts are loaded. Once ads are active, the following applies:

• Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads and, if you consent, to personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites.
• For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for consent in advance through a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) that uses the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework.
• If you do not consent, Google may show limited or non-personalised ads where permitted. The site remains fully usable.
• How Google uses data from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Changing or withdrawing your choice

When ads are active, you can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the 'Privacy settings' link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your personal data and to object to it. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If the data we process changes, for example when ads are switched on, we will update this page and the date at the top.
