About EnergieTeller

EnergieTeller makes Dutch energy figures understandable and helps you check your own energy costs.

What we do

We collect figures from Statistics Netherlands (CBS), the Dutch Tax Administration and the Dutch government, explain what they mean and build calculators that apply them to your own situation. Every calculation shows its formulas, so you can check the result.

Independent

EnergieTeller is not a government website and not an energy supplier. We do not compare energy contracts, earn nothing from switching and have no arrangements with energy companies.

Funding

The site may show Google ads in the future. Ads do not influence the content and are always clearly separated from it. See also the privacy policy.

What we deliberately do not do

• We do not publish figures without a source or invent averages or examples presented as fact.
• We do not use proposed tax rates as final rates.
• We do not give personal financial or legal advice.
